Aims

The course aims: To provide trainees with the knowledge, skills and best practices that will promote the proper care of children from birth to three years. To reinforce the caring/ developing/educating capacities of educators in the E.C.D. sector.

Our Courses

Printed course materials will be made available for the Face to Face sessions. Workshops will be organized for the preparation of I.E.C. and play materials. Participants should show proof of experience in an Early Childhood Centre during the course. Those who do not already have access to a centre will be placed on practicum.

Basic Course in Early Child Care & Education (0-3)

Proficiency Course in Early Childhood Development (0-5)

PROGRAMME DELIVERY

The Mode of Delivery will be through: 1. Mixed Mode – (a) Face to Face meetings with Tutors and (b) Distance Learning.

SCHEME OF ASSESSMENT

Students should reckon an attendance of at least 80% of the overall Face to Face sessions. Students must do all assignments Students must participate in Workshops organized in the context of the programme. Students should submit their assignments and Research Work one month before the end of the last semester.
